One year anniversary

It's been one year since I posted my first story online. I posted Just Pretending on 1/1/2014 and then updated it on 1/4/2014, so it is showing up in the "Stories Posted Today" on FictionMania today.

I expected to have a lot more stories posted by this time. I started out really well, but I slowed down quite a bit in the summer. I ended up posting a total of six stories in 2014 for a total of 147,028 words. I have another 130k worth in the two novels that I wrote. Both are complete stories and could be posted today, but I want to go over them one more time. If you add in the number of words I've written on the current story that puts me  at 815 words per day. I want to do better.

I am writing a story right now that will be set at Christmas time (I think). I had hoped it would be a fairly short story, but then I started falling in love with the characters and now I want to do them justice. I already hit 16k words and that is only about 20-25% of the way into the story. If I do keep the story at Christmas time I will probably hold onto it and post it in December.

Once I am done with this story I will start working on the next Bethany story. It is time for Heather to get her due. I have some wicked ideas for her and her friends.

After that, I would like to work on a Halloween TG story. I would like to start it well in advance of the holiday so that I can edit it a few times. I find that if I let a story sit for a couple months between major edits I can distance myself from the story and approach it from "fresh" eyes.

I also have strong ideas for three stories that I want to write soon, two of which will likely pass 50k words.

I signed up for a writing class at the local community college, so I will probably need to work on a story that I am willing to show people I know.

At some point in the near future I will need to do some work on the two unfinished novels. I imagine I'll take another pass at one or both within the next month or so.

It will be interesting to see what I have written this time next year.
