Maybe this weekend???

I wasn't able to get part ten of Heather's story finished by the end of April. You probably figured that out by now. I'll have more time this weekend to write, so I'm once again hoping that it will be done sometime on Sunday. It is more likely this time around.

I'm well into the revision process on this chapter and I can see the end of the tunnel. If you read my post about my process on revising Heather's story, I'd say that I'm about halfway through stage 2.

Thanks for sticking with me.

I'm still here

Hello,

So, it's been over a month since the last chapter of Heather's story, again. I am making it a priority to post chapter 10 by the end of the month (This month. April 2017). Right now my weekend is fairly wide open, so it is doable. I hope you all have a good weekend. Hopefully I will be posting again on Sunday with chapter 10!

Heather's story part 9

Heather's story
By Varian Milagro

Chapter 9

Heather awoke Friday morning with Abigail draped over her body and cupping her boob. It was her new favorite way of waking up. She knew that the magic was changing her relationship with Abigail from strictly platonic to something more sexual, but it felt so wonderful that it was getting hard to care.

She’d never really been romantically involved with anyone before, but had always assumed that it would be with a guy. Like a lot of her friends, she’d dreamed about a large church wedding, walking down the aisle in a white gown, being given away by her father to a man that was just as handsome and godly. Like her mom, she’d cook for her husband, be dutiful, and raise his children with love and a healthy fear of God.

That was looking less and less likely with each passing day. Would it be that big of a deal if she shared her life with a woman instead of a man? More and more people thought that the church was wrong for condemning homosexuality. Were they right? How could something that felt so amazing and natural be wrong?

Sorry for the delay

I can't believe that it has been a month since I posted part 8 of Heather's story. I am getting much closer to posting part 9, but it won't be today. I won't speculate on when. I still feel bad about predicting that it would be posted two weekends ago (see comments on part 8). I knew that it was a stretch goal, but I didn't think that it still wouldn't be posted nearly two weeks later.

For anyone who is curious I thought that I'd share my revision process. It's probably pretty boring, but maybe someone will be interested.

Heather's story part 8

Heather's story
By Varian Milagro

Chapter 8

Heather woke up on Thursday morning snuggled up against Abigail, using her shoulder for a pillow and cupping one of her breasts through her nightgown. Their legs were intertwined and she could feel an intimate heat on her right thigh. Mr. Whiskers lay on the other side of Abigail. He stared at Heather through tiny slits while purring contentedly. Heather felt like joining him. Besides a strong craving for nicotine she felt at peace.

She knew that she should pull away, that she should be ashamed and horrified, that if nothing else she should let go of Abigail’s boob. But she had no desire to do so. She’d never known that a breast could feel so nice. Her own had never felt that good. And it wasn’t just because Abigail’s were larger. She felt intimately connected to her best friend and wanted to spend the entire day wrapped up in her arms.

Was she gay now?

According to her dream, Rebecca had participated in the ceremony on Sunday so that Heather would return her affections. Apparently it had affected her feelings for Abigail as well. Was she gay for all women now? Her attraction to Abigail seemed to have increased dramatically after they’d kissed yesterday, right after she’d turned Kathleen into a smoker. She’d remembered feeling the magic flow through her body, like it was alive. Had the magic altered Abigail’s feelings, too? Had she made Abigail gay? But that didn’t explain Kirk and Todd. It was Abigail’s idea for them to go on a double date with the two guys from bible study.

Heather's story part 7

Heather's story
By Varian Milagro

Chapter 7

Heather lay on her side, her arms wrapped around her knees, rocking back and forth in the fetal position, staring at a pool of dark liquid a few feet away, her mind revolting over the images it had just seen as her stomach convulsed, trying to repeal the vile liquid that she’d been forced to consume.

Starshine knelt next to her, speaking softly in a strange language.

Bethany stood nearby, tapping her foot.

“There there now. Let those nasty images fade away,” Starshine said as she stroked Heather’s hair. “Much too much to deal with all at once. Push it into the back of your mind. Let them come back to you at a later time when you’re better prepared.”

Little by little, Heather stopped screaming.

Her muscles slowly unclenched as the monstrous images pummeling her brain melted away. Fading too were the memories of the ceremony itself that had finished just minutes before. The strongest, most frightful images lingered; the blood, the screams, the taste of that foul concoction and the pain it caused her throat, the unnamable thing that had towered over her. And its voice. Its horrid voice. Eventually it all vanished, everything from the moment they’d dragged her into the circle until just a few seconds ago. She could still remember that there had been a ceremony, a horrific one where they had imbued her with the powers of a woman named Constance. But all the details were gone, leaving only paranoid sensations and disassociated anxiety.

Sorry for the delay

I'd hoped to have part 7 posted by now. I've had a succession of interruptions during some of my best writing times over the last couple weeks. I hope that they are at an end.

It shouldn't be too much longer now before the next part is posted. (fingers crossed)

Thanks for hanging in there and a huge thanks for all of the comments and emails. I appreciated it immensely!
